Redemption House

CAMP, Int'l is dedicated to being "witnesses unto me (Christ) both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth" (Acts 1:8).  This verse emphasizes our command to reach those in our local community as well as those around the globe.
This year we have donated funds to Redeeming Lives to build Redemption House, a "recovery home" for ladies rehabilitating from drug and alcohol addiction in Perry County, TN.  Redeeming Lives has worked in the local jail with the women jailed there for several years and saw a need for the girls to have a "safe" place to be restored from a life of addition.  The home will give them the tools and time to break old habits and replace them with life-giving patterns that only a relationship with Christ can give.

Revealing God and His Working in History

Once again we sought to reach out to our local community in teaching Christ through History.  On September 26, 2015 history "came alive" in downtown Linden, TN.  Remembering WWII had several wonderful speakers sharing their testimony of the providence of God in their lives during the war.  A Holocaust survivor, a survivor of the USS Indianapolis, a bomber pilot and others spoke and kept people riveted to their seats listening, even in the rain.  The WWII vets were honored in a parade with vintage and military vehicles.

Wednesday, December 31, 2014

2014 was rather a quiet year for CAMP, Int'l.  We had no international missions activity, but we continued with our local training with ShopTime and broadened one of our ShopTimes into a full public event.  For the past 4 years our September ShopTime has been dedicated to honoring WWII vets and teaching on this pivotal time in history from a biblical world view.  This year it grew to a wonderful outreach to our county and beyond.  The event, "Remembering WWII", was hosted downtown Linden, TN.

Teaching in Melbourne Australia

On Saturday, October 13th Anthony taught an all day seminar at a church in Melboune, Australia.  We had about 80 attending.
Topics:
  • Why?
  • Priceless Things vs Things of Value
  • What is Money
  • Training Children for Life Skills and an Entrepreneurial Mindset
The following Sunday afternoon everyone was invited to a local family's house for a pitch-in meal and more teaching.  Several families that couldn't make it to the seminar came.  The men and families were asking some great, hard questions.  Good seed was sown.  We are eager to see where the Lord directs these men as they lead their families!
Thank you Jonathan Fields for organizing this seminar!

Frank Maxson

C.A.M.P. sent funds to ship a load of Christian books that were donated for their Christian book store in Blantyre, Malawi. The Maxsons have found that good books on holy living, family, homeschooling and in general, solid Christian literature in English are mostly too expensive for Malawians to readily afford. The bookstore has been a great means for spreading the gospel message and edifying the saints.
