Saturday service

Every Saturday night our church has services at different family's houses. The reason for not having the service in our church building was to encourage our neighbors to come to a service. Most folks around here are much more willing to visit a neighbors than go to a church building.

Our turn rolled around this last Saturday and normally afterward the host would serve some kind of snack or drink, so for the occasion we made chocolate chunk cookies. Tthe reason they aren't chocolate chip is because here you can't get chocolate chips. You get chocolate in bars and then make it into chunks... Brazilians don't have "cookies", either :).

Making the cookies

We made roughly 190+ cookies and we ate them all!

Setting the chairs up on our porch for the service (notice the new tile on the floor!) We had a very good service! We had several of our neighbors come.

(notice our "central air")
