Patrick Boyle, Serving in Romania

Having visited the ministry in Romania, we were very impressed with Patrick's work in starting new churches.  We wanted to be a part of his ministry and the decision was made to send money for him to purchase a rental house here in the states so that he would have perpetual support.  Patrick decided to temporarily divert the money to purchase a church building for one of his new works.  Below are pictures of the new meeting place for Independent Baptist Church in St. George, Romania.

House for Joshua Steele, Missionary to Ukraine

Money was given for the purchase of a rental house (in the states) for Joshua Steele, Missionary to Ukraine.  After the house was finished, the family used it while they were home on furlough.  It was turned into a rental house, giving them perpetual passive income to support themselves while on the field.  Joshua's family manages it, while they are in Ukraine.

The house needed some work.  The Courter family went down to Texas for a few weeks to help work on the house.
Here's the front of the house before work started.

We checked out the house Sunday evening (11/8/09) and prepared to start to work on Monday morning. Unfortunately some kind of sickness had been going around and Josh got it Sunday night, so he wasn't able to come... but being without a key to the house didn't really stop us :)

we just climbed on the roof...
lifted a skylight that was being removed anyways...
used a little brother...and lowered him down...

so he could unlock the doors :)

Meanwhile, inside Lincoln and Caleb started ripping up some old flooring.

We were there working for a week working and by the time we left the outside was completely finished, all the trim and ceilings were painted, half the inside rooms were painted, the skylights removed and the roofing fixed, as well as a few other misc. things.
Joshua has been in Ukraine since 2001.
He is part of the Euro Team Outreach and works with Jesse Beal and Nathan Day.

Rio Branco, Brazil

Sunday April 5th 2009

Sunday morning Anthony preached

Monday we all went into town to see the property that the Doolittles had just purchased. The place used to be a day care but they are now turning it into a Mission Training Center.

Here's the garden.

inside the day care. All the class rooms open up onto this courtyard

This will be a wonderful resource for the Brazilians

The last week we were in Rio Branco we worked at the Mission Training Center

The two ladies that ran the day care kept all sorts of junk and didn't throw anything away, so the boys were just trying to clean the place up.

The last Sunday we were there was Easter Sunday and the kids did an Easter play

Rio Branco, Brazil

April 1st 2009
Anthony, Jessica, Rebekah, Aaron, Josiah, and Esther flew to Brazil to help Stephen Doolittle in Rio Branco.

On the 3rd as many folks as could fit in the combie started off for the Colonies to clean up the church property.

After a 3 hour drive we arrived at Brother Ely's home. He is one of the main church leaders and a farmer.  We stayed with their family while we worked on the church.
